LaRopa was created by Jimbo Williams & Aristotle Sanchez in 2016 - combining their signature DIY-punk aesthetic with the relentless drive and aspirations of the streetwear community.
Williams & Sanchez conceptualized LaRopa from a since deactivated vintage biker blog - with photographs of 1970's motorcycle culture serving as their moodboard. Inspired to develop their now notorious "PBSB" graphic, the duo moved to NYC in 2016 with $800 and a two-week living arrangement, later moving to LA and building their brand out of the Royal Pagoda Motel.
Williams & Sanchez financed LaRopa by selling upcycled vintage apparel on Grailed - leading to discovery and Instagram support from Playboy Carti, which launched the brand into endorsements from names ranging from Bella Hadid to Young Thug.
